It was a scene of joy and celebration in Jalingo, the Taraba State capital, as a communicator, Mr. Tanimu Idisire, exchanged marital vows with his heartthrob, Miss Mojisola Shodipo, in a colourful ceremony attended by family, friends, and associates from various walks of life.

The holy solemnization of the marriage took place at the Christ Glorious Army Church Headquarters, Jalingo, and was officiated by Pastor Mark Tikwe.

The couple, whose love story began in 2019, finally sealed their union before God and witnesses, describing it as a “lifetime partnership built on love, patience, and mutual understanding.”

Speaking to Jalingo Times, the groom, Mr. Idisire, expressed deep gratitude to God for being the foundation of their relationship.

“The journey has not been easy, but we understand each other. Sometimes we offend one another, but we never sleep over our disagreements. We forgive and move forward, and that has helped us grow stronger,” he said.

He appreciated his Yoruba in-laws for accepting him wholeheartedly and thanked his parents for their constant support and prayers throughout the marriage journey.

“I’m grateful to my parents for their love and encouragement. I pray that God grants them long life to witness more of His goodness,” he added.

On her part, the beautiful bride, Mrs. Mojisola Tanimu (née Shodipo), who hails from Owude Agba Local Government Area of Ogun State, described her husband as a kindhearted and devoted man who has always stood by her.

“He has been supportive and caring since our dating days. I’m delighted to have met him, and I promise to be a good wife and mother to our family,” she said, expressing appreciation to her in-laws for warmly receiving her.

The best man, Engr. Adi Nwubu, described the groom as a childhood friend and a true gentleman with a humble spirit.

“We’ve been friends for over twenty years. Tanimu is a calm, respectful, and sincere person. I have no doubt he will make a wonderful husband,” Nwubu said, wishing the couple a joyful and peaceful home.

The chief bridesmaid, Miss Jessica, also congratulated the couple, describing the bride as a kindhearted and industrious woman she has known since their school days.

“Mojisola is peaceful, respectful, and hardworking. I’m happy she found love and wish her a blissful married life,” she said.

The wedding festivities concluded with a thanksgiving service at Christ Glorious Army Church, Mile Six, Jalingo, where Pastor Mark Tikwe admonished believers to always cultivate a heart of gratitude.

He congratulated the newlyweds for starting their marriage with thanksgiving, noting that gratitude opens the door to more divine blessings.

“When you thank God, you give Him reasons to do more. The couple has set a great example by returning to appreciate God for His faithfulness,” Pastor Tikwe said.

The event was filled with joy, songs of praise, and heartfelt prayers as the couple began their journey into a new chapter of marital bliss.
