2025/2026 ADMISSIONS NOTIFICATION 

Kwararafa University, Wukari (KUW), founded in 2005 is a community owned and promoted institution of higher learning licenced by the Federal Government of Nigeria. All the programmes are accredited by the National Universities Commission (NUC).
It offers the following programmes at the undergraduate level viz:

Admission into Kwararafa University, Wukari (KUW) is open to all, irrespective of race, tribe, religion, sex or political leanings. Prospective candidates must satisfy all College and Departmental requirements in addition to the following general University entrance requirements. 

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS 
Admission through UTME 
For admission into 100 level, candidates must possess five (5) credits passes at Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE, GCE, NECO or it equivalent in any relevant subjects in not more than two sittings and obtain a score of 150 and above in the United Tertiary Matriculation Examination. 
   University Passes in English Language and Mathematics for all categories of Students. 
   The University shall conduct post JAMB Screening to ensure that only the qualified candidate are admitted. 
Admission through Direct Entry (D.E) 
   For admission into 200 level, candidates must posses five (5) credit passes (including English Language) at Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE), GCE, NECO or equivalent in relevant subjects in not more than two sittings
    In addition to the above, candidates should have at least two advanced level passes in the General Certificate of Education Examination in relevant subjects or, Ordinary National Diploma with credit level or Nigeria Certificate of Education (NEC) with credit level
   Passes in two IJMB/JUPEP courses out of the three.

Admission into 300 Level 
Candidates with HND or Third Class Degree can apply for admission into 300 Level. 

IJMB
Kwararafa University, Wukari also offers the Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) Programme. It is a nationally recognized one year programme which offers successful candidate the opportunity of gaining Direct Entry or 200 Level. 

ENTRY REQUIREMENT FOR IJMB/DIPLOMA 
For admission into IJMB/Diploma Programme, a candidate must possess four (4) credit passes at a Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE), GCE, NECO, NABTEB or equivalent in relevant subjects in not more than two sittings. The subject offered at IJMB includes: Lit-in-English, History, CRS, Government, Economics, Business Studies, Accounting, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Geography, Agricultural Science, among others. A combination of any 3 subjects grant admission to study any degree programme of your choice.

After payment of N10,000, you proceed to fill the online form and submit.

INSECURITY: Two suspected kidnappers nabbed in Mayo Dassa, Jalingo.

Troops of six Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters ,Jalingo have dismantled a notorious kidnapping syndicate terrorizing parts of Jalingo and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State.  A statement by Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations Six Brigade Nigeria Army headquarters, Jalingo, Captain Olubodunde Oni says the Brigade act on an intelligence report and two suspects, identified as Ali Idi and Haruna Umar were apprehended early this week. The statement adds that the culprits were captured during a raid at a local hotel in Mayo Dassa area of Jalingo metropolis where they were hiding.  It adds that Further investigations led to the discovery that the gang's hideout was at Kona Mountain in Jalingo , where additional members of the syndicate were believed to be camped. RELIGION: UMC-N Bishop Ande Emmanuel decries continual tensions,calls on Gov.Agbu to waive into the matter.

The Resident Bishop United Methodist Church Nigeria  Episcopal Area, Ande Emmanuel has decried continual tensions impacting the church in Nigeria. The Bishop, in a Press briefing in Jalingo, condemned any act of violence or disrespect to the church, referencing the attack at Banyan Theological Seminary in the Bambur Community of Karim Lamido Local government area. He remarked that the Seminary established in 1946 by the United Methodist Church agencies and donors has been manned by the church and has continued to fund the Seminary that has trained many clergy of the UMC, including him.
