POLITICS: Yorro Youth Rally Behind Hon. Hashimu Ali as Ideal Candidate for November Chairmanship Election

By Jako,Yorro,August 10,2025.

The political atmosphere in Yorro Local Government Area has taken a decisive turn as youths across the region have thrown their weight behind Hon. Hashimu Ali, describing him as the most suitable candidate to lead the council into a new era of progress and inclusivity.

During a recent visit by the Taraba State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Abubakar Bawa, and members of the State Executive Committee, the youths of Yorro seized the moment to deliver a clear and urgent message: it is time for a change in the Chairmanship position.

Representing a united front, the youths expressed dissatisfaction with the current leadership, stressing that fresh and dynamic stewardship is essential to restore public confidence, strengthen the party’s grassroots base, and secure victory in the upcoming November Local Government elections.
Hon. Hashimu Ali emerged as the consensus choice, praised for his integrity, accessibility, and proven commitment to community development. Stakeholders believe his leadership would not only unite diverse interests within Yorro but also energize the party’s machinery for a resounding win.

“We have spoken with one voice because we believe Yorro deserves a leader who will represent the people’s will, promote fairness, and drive genuine development,” said Abdulmumin Abubakar Nyaja, speaking on behalf of Yorro Concerned Youth. “Hon. Hashimu Ali has the vision, the passion, and the trust of the people. He is the change we are calling for.”

The appeal to PDP’s state leadership was unambiguous: take the youth’s call seriously, present a candidate who embodies the people’s aspirations, and safeguard party unity. Failure to act, they warned, could risk alienating loyal supporters and weakening the party’s structure ahead of the polls.

As the November elections draw closer, all eyes are now on the PDP’s decision-making table and on Hon. Hashimu Ali, the man many in Yorro believe can deliver the unity, renewal, and development the local government urgently needs.
