The Special Adviser to the Governor on Christian Religious Matters, Very Rev. Fr. Sunday Patrick Muke, has pledged the Taraba State Government’s support to the newly elected leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Taraba State Chapter.
Fr. Muke made the pledge yesterday when he received the new CAN executives, led by State Chairman, Very Rev. Fr. Dr. Williams Awoshiri, during a courtesy visit to his office.
Discussions during the meeting centered on the association’s role in fostering unity among Christians, promoting peace, and upholding moral values in the state. Fr. Muke urged the executives to remain steadfast, visionary, and prayerful as they undertake what he described as a sacred responsibility.
Speaking on behalf of Governor Agbu Kefas, the adviser assured the association of the government’s commitment to their shared goal of building a peaceful and God-fearing society.
The visit was seen as a step towards strengthening the partnership between the state government and CAN in promoting harmony and moral development across Taraba.
