AWARD: CLASFON North East Honours Taraba SGS Gebon Timothy Kataps for Selfless Service.

The Christian Lawyers Fellowship of Nigeria (CLASFON), North East Region, has honoured the Secretary to the Government of Taraba State, Chief Barrister Gebon Timothy Kataps, with an Appreciation Award for his outstanding contributions to the growth of the fellowship’s Jalingo Branch.

The award was presented during CLASFON’s annual conference in Yola, Adamawa State. Chairman of the Jalingo Branch, Barrister Confidence Mbwakwi, described Kataps as a distinguished lawyer and mentor whose generosity and guidance have inspired the younger generation.

According to Mbwakwi, the recognition was in appreciation of the SGS’s kindness and unwavering support for the fellowship’s activities. He congratulated Kataps on the honour, pledging the branch’s continued support for his success.

Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee, Barrister Sunday Steven, also praised Kataps for his unquantifiable magnanimity and longstanding commitment to the association. He recalled the SGS’s consistent encouragement and tangible contributions to the fellowship’s growth.

Similarly, Magistrate Joyce Peter commended Kataps for his resilience and dedication to the development of the Jalingo Branch, wishing him success in all his endeavours.

In his response, Chief Barrister Gebon Timothy Kataps expressed gratitude to CLASFON for the recognition, describing it as a great honour and reaffirming his commitment to supporting the fellowship’s mission.

INSECURITY: Two suspected kidnappers nabbed in Mayo Dassa, Jalingo.

Troops of six Brigade Nigerian Army headquarters ,Jalingo have dismantled a notorious kidnapping syndicate terrorizing parts of Jalingo and Lau Local Government Areas of Taraba State. A statement by Acting Assistant Director Army Public Relations Six Brigade Nigeria Army headquarters, Jalingo, Captain Olubodunde Oni says the Brigade act on an intelligence report and two suspects, identified as Ali Idi and Haruna Umar were apprehended early this week. RELIGION: UMC-N Bishop Ande Emmanuel decries continual tensions,calls on Gov.Agbu to waive into the matter.

The Resident Bishop United Methodist Church Nigeria Episcopal Area, Ande Emmanuel has decried continual tensions impacting the church in Nigeria. The Bishop, in a Press briefing in Jalingo, condemned any act of violence or disrespect to the church, referencing the attack at Banyan Theological Seminary in the Bambur Community of Karim Lamido Local government area.
